      It is more of a long /ue/ sound. I find /ue/ and /oo/ really tricky to distinguish.

        They get confused because /ue/ is really two sounds, /y/+/oo/ and some words (e.g. due/dew, stupid, tutor) are pronounced with /ue/ in some accents (e.g. Australian and Uk English) but only /oo/ in other accents (e.g. US English).
