These download-and-print Phonics With Feeling readers are suitable for students in late Year 1 or Year 2, or slightly older catch-up learners. The purchaser may print up to thirty copies of each book (i.e. 20c per print ex GST). A printable quiz for each book is included, or you can use the Wordwall quiz online.

The Set Eight readers review spellings from previous levels and introduce new ones:

  • Awesome and Awful (382 words)
  • Master of the Bath (321 words)
  • The Red Hare (313 words)
  • The Pear-Shaped Bear (305 words)
  • Max the Meerkat (214 words)

The books can be used with the Spelfabet Level 5 and 6 teaching sequence, and Level 5 Workbook. Word-building sequences and playing cards for this level will be available soon.

These five download-and-print Phonics With Feeling readers are suitable for students in late Year 1 or Year 2, or slightly older catch-up learners. The purchaser may print up to thirty copies of each book (i.e. 20c per print ex GST). A printable quiz for each book is included, or you can use the Wordwall quiz online.

The books can be used with the Spelfabet Level 5 or 6 teaching sequence, and the decks of phonics playing cards available here and here. A Level 6 workbook is still in production (sorry).

The Set Eight readers introduce new spellings for vowel sounds introduced in previous sets.

  • Revising a as in call and or as in horn, and introducing aw as in saw and awe as in awesome.
  • Revising ar as in car and introducing a as in last, al as in palm, and au as in aunt
  • Revising air as in hair; introducing are as in care
  • Revising air and are as in care; introducing ear as in wear
  • Revising ear as in near; introducing eer as in cheer, and er as in hero
