- Smart Kids moveable alphabets though I recommend sticking to the ones that represent single sounds, not the ones that include “blends” like “br” and “st”, as these are really two sounds and should be represented by two spellings, so as not to give learners that incorrect impression that they represent different sounds, like the spellings “ch” and “ai”.

A number of movable alphabets are available from Modern Teaching Aids, but at the time of writing all the most useful ones, which include spellings beyond single letters, seem to be out of stock.
