      well, yes, but I try to mostly stick to base words. You could add friendless, befriend, etc etc.

   How about patient and patience? Or is that seen as separate because of the “sh” sound formed by the “ti”?

      Yes, ‘ti’ is the most common way to spell /sh/ in English, thanks to the number of Latin words that have come into English, so I class ‘patient’ and ‘patience’ with ‘motion’ and ‘infectious’.
