What a great work. Thank you.
I’m looking for info on how to find the odd spellings e.g. friend, again etc. with short e sound.
I couldn’t find anything like that on the “sounds like” list. If its not on your site, do you have any ideas that might help me find similarly spelled words? I tried google and it didn’t find much. Not sure what to do next.

I’m working creating a spelling game that focuses on patterns of spelling and hoping to find 3-4 words with the same irregular patterns. Thanks for any ideas?

Kia ora! Hey, i’m sure you’ve come across this a lot.. In Aotearoa NZ (and in some parts of Aussie) the ‘e’ before an ‘L’ tends to sound like a short /a/ sound. if we had a cool website like yours we would have a section in the /a/ as in bat. Titled e(l) as in elephant.
